The 2016-17 Covenant volleyball team picked up one more team honor as it was recognized as a Team Academic Award recipient from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

A record 822 programs earned honors this year, including 150 NCAA Division III members.
Covenant was one of four USA South institutions to earn recognition this year joining Maryville, North Carolina Wesleyan and Piedmont.
