New Book On Central Coach Stan Farmer Available From Attorney Jerry Summers

Jerry Summers announced that his book on the life of beloved Chattanooga Central football coach, educator, principal, and Iwo Jima survivor, Stan Farmer, is available for purchase.

The price is $21.95 and can be picked up at the Summers law office in The James Building. If you want it mailed to you, send an additional $4.50 for postage.

Checks are the preferred method of payment and should be made payable to the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga (CFGC) and listed as "Donation-Stan Farmer Scholarship" and should be mailed to or picked up at the Summers office.

The book contains 209 pages with 175 additional photographs depicting Coach’s career at Central and the teams he coached with E.B. Etter, Jake Seaton, Les Newton, and others. Most importantly it includes statements by former Central students at both Dodds Avenue and Highway 58 as to the impact he had on their lives.

All proceeds will go to the Farmer scholarship to help Central seniors further their goals of getting a college education.
