Welcome Reception For New HCDE Superintendent Offered At 2nd Baptist On Aug. 26

The Chattanooga community is invited to join Dr. Ernest L. Reid, Jr. and members of Second Baptist for a welcoming reception in honor of Dr. Bryan Johnson, newly selected superintendent of the Hamilton County Department of Education.  

The reception will be held Saturday, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 2305 E. Third St.

Students, individuals, families, local pastors, congregations, civic, professional, and fraternal organizations, are all invited for an opportunity to meet and greet Dr. and Mrs. Johnson.  

"It is a pleasure to welcome Dr. Johnson to our community and to encourage him in the prospect of successfully leading our children to improve, achieve, and excel academically.  Second Baptist is excited about the educational future of our community's students under Dr. Johnson's leadership. 
 We look forward to having you join us for a two-hour get acquainted gathering on the fourth Saturday in August beginning at one o'clock," officials said.
