Danny and Brittany Alcala, owners of Rocbeach Hospitality Group, are adding a new restaurant to the Northshore. Red Sauce, which is all about meatballs and craft cocktails, will open at 14 W Kent Street next month.
This is the Alcalas’ third restaurant in the Chattanooga market in just two years.
Originally from Miami, the Alcalas started their business at the beach but saw the tremendous opportunity (and mountains) so decided to make the move to the Scenic City.
While meatballs are the focus of this restaurant, Italian with a southern flair is the overall concept. Everything from calamari and grandma’s meatball spaghetti to vegetarian meatballs and lasagna will be on the menu. And of course signature craft cocktails and the entertainment that the Alcalas have been known for will not disappoint.
“Red Sauce,” Alcala says, “takes a Brooklyn-meets-Philly-meets-Little Italy-meets-Chattanooga approach - how's that for fusion?”
The vibe is going to be a nod to the iconic 50s. If Sammy Davis Jr. were to go to an Italian restaurant in his day, it would be like this.
“This is the Northshore’s bar and restaurant,” said Alcala. “We are doing it for our neighbors who we love and we hope they love us back.”
