Dorothy Coleman, 82, passed away at home on August 11, 2017, with her family by her side.  
 
She spent the majority of her life in Florida and resided in Catoosa County to be closer to her children and grandchildren for the last 13 years.  She was an avid seamstress and hard working single parent who always put her family first. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Hank" Coleman, and mother, Aileen Smith-Mardis.

She is survived by her three children, Dennis (Michael) Coleman, Cheri Kidney, and Lori (James) Freese; two grandchildren, Jasmine Kidney and April (Tony) Williams; three great-grandchildren, Alex Kidney, Kris Kidney, Jimmy Ingram, many cousins and friends.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 1 p.m. at Moriah Baptist Church, 2864 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. 30742. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
