KODAK, Tenn. -- Andy Wilkins hit a run-scoring single in the fifth inning, leading the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 6-3 win over the Tennessee Smokies on Wednesday.
Chattanooga right-hander Zack Littell (3-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing one run on five hits over six innings.
The single by Wilkins started the scoring in a three-run inning and gave the Lookouts a 2-1 lead.
Later in the inning, T.J. White and Max Murphy hit RBI singles.
After Chattanooga added a run in the seventh on a home run by Jonathan Rodriguez, the Smokies cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Jason Vosler hit a two-run home run.
Rodriguez homered and doubled, scoring three runs for Chattanooga.
The Lookouts tacked on another run in the ninth when Wilkins hit an RBI double, bringing home LaMonte Wade.
Smokies starter Trevor Clifton (5-7) took the loss in the Southern League game after giving up four runs and eight hits over 4 2/3 innings.
Gabriel Moya recorded his 20th save of the season.
