City Of Chattanooga Parks Division Invites Community To Discover Stringers Ridge This Weekend

At a drop-in event this Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at  Stringers Ridge Spears Avenue Trailhead, 1312 Spears Ave., community members and visitors to Chattanooga will learn about Stringers Ridge, a 92-acre urban wilderness with multi-use trails, spectacular views, and a mountain bike pump track.

Guests will get to experience site tours, educational booths, and kids activities.

In addition, volunteers are needed in the morning on Saturday to work on the first-stage of managing kudzu, an invasive plant that is growing in the pump track area of Stringers Ridge.

Volunteers will be working from 8 a.m.-noon.
