The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending denial on a rezoning request to allow a commercial development on Igou Gap Road 600 feet off Gunbarrel Road.
The staff said the project by Kanta Chaudhari would be an intrusion into a residential section.
The case goes before the Planning Commission on Monday at 1 p.m. at the County Courthouse.
The proposal calls for a one-story commercial building with 5,000 square feet of space.
It would be set back from the street with parking between the street and the building.
The staff report said there is potential to connect to a commercial development to the rear of the site.
