Nick Anderson Named Southern League-BC Relief Pitcher-Of-The-Month

Went Four-For-Four In Saves During The Month Of August With A 0.00 ERA

The Southern League has announced that Chattanooga Lookouts’ relief pitcher, Nick Anderson has been named the Southern League-BC Relief Pitcher of the Month for the month of August.

During the month of August, Anderson appeared in 11 games and was four-for-four in save opportunities. In his 11 appearances, Anderson pitched 11.1 innings, allowing just five hits, and one walk, while striking out 10.

Anderson did not allow a run or an earned run during the entire month of August and has only allowed three all season.

On the year, Anderson has appeared in 28 games and has collected eight saves as of August 1, 2017. Anderson has pitched 32.2 innings in 2017 and has allowed 17 hits, three runs, and seven walks while striking out 36 batters.  The righty began the season with six straight multi-strikeout games and has struck out multiple batters in 14 of his 28 appearances.  Anderson is the second Lookouts player to take home this award this year, joining current Rochester RedWings pitcher John Curtiss who won it in May. 

The first and second half champion Lookouts last action packed homestand of the year continues tonight with MEGA Fireworks and the ZOOperstars! (9/1), College Football Night on Saturday (9/2) and College Kids Eat Free on Sunday (9/3).
