More than 2,800 male athletes were registered to take part in 2017 ICY HOT IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship on Sunday.
For the first time in IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship history, the race was broken up into two days with the female race on Saturday and men's race on Sunday.
Athletes took on a 1.2-mile swim in the Tennessee River, a 56-mile bike up Lookout Mountain with incredible views and through historic Chickamauga before finishing with a 13.1-mile run through downtown Chattanooga.
Competitors ranged in age from 18 to 86. Professional men competed for a $125,000 total prize purse. More images of the 2017 IRONMAN Tour can be found here.
