The UTC Mocs are 0-2 but history is on their side to get a win Saturday in the home opener against UT-Martin (1-1) with kickoff set for 6 p.m.

When starting 0-2, the Mocs are 12-11 in the third game of a season dating back to 1907 and 9-7 in home games after starting 0-2.

Playing on Sept 16: The Mocs are 5-1 in home games on this date and 1-2 on the road.

The last time UTC played on Sept. 16 was a 28-21 loss at Western Kentucky in 2006

TheT last home win on this date was a 72-17 victory against Miss. Valley State (and Jerry Rice had long since graduated) in 2000

‘Sonny’ Sumner, Former Successful Baylor Tennis Coach Of ‘60s and ‘70s, Dies

Sheriff Hammond Says $4 Million Needed To Put SROs In All Hamilton County Schools

Sheriff Jim Hammond on Thursday night told members of the County School Board that $4 million is needed to provide School Resource Officers for all of the 79 schools.
