Steven Frank Maples, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in a local hospital.


Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kathy McCracken Maples; mother, Billie Baldwin McMillian; brother, Jerald W. Baldwin; aunt, Sheila (Otis) Thompson; uncle, Johnnie Harold (Wanda) Baldwin; niece, Elizabeth “Beth”(Mary Chloe) Baldwin; nephew, John Baldwin (Stacey Leigh Baldwin); cousin, Robbie Baldwin; great niece and nephew, Annabelle Leigh and Jonah Emerson Baldwin; brother-in-laws, Johnny (Shirley) McCracken of Decatur, Tn.; Edwin (Frankie) McCracken, Mick McCracken all of Athens, Tn., and several nieces and nephews.


Steven was of the Baptist faith.


He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Albert Baldwin.


Steven worked in the automotive industry in all areas and loved working on any kind of cars. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and flying airplanes.


A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Joey Manis officiating.


The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
