HCSO Offers New Details In Aug. 14 Officer Involved Shooting On Rossville Boulevard

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has released additional details regarding the Aug. 14 officer involved shooting that occurred on Rossville Boulevard. 

The Hamilton County Grand Jury handed down indictments on Sept. 14, charging David Alan Wooten, 45, with aggravated assault - two counts, reckless endangerment and evading arrest.

These charges are in connection with his actions on Aug. 14, which resulted in him being shot during an altercation with law enforcement officers. 

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Division arrested Wooten in Bradley County on Friday at approximately 12:45 p.m. 

Wooten’s bond has been set at $40,000. 

The attached photograph of Wooten was taken during a previous arrest. 

This incident is still an ongoing investigation and no further details are available at this time.
