Rita Gracellen Bryant, 74, of East Ridge passed away on September 14, 2017 and is now in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved the Lord and was the bond that held the entire family together. She was known as “Grace” by many of her family members and that name is precisely who she was.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Landers.
Surviving include her children, Sonya Hickman (Brian) of Rossville and Stacy Bryant of East Ridge; her brother, David Townsend (Pat) of Acworth, Ga., her sisters, Nola Heatherly (Earl) of Franklin, Tn., and Delores Cole (Terry) of Ringgold; her grandchildren, Brooke Brunson, Jamie Prater, Richard Prater, Caleb Smith, Jacob Kirk and Lexus Chambers; her great-grandchildren, Isaac, Sky, Brody, Ezekiel (Ziggy), Nova, Kamdyn and Liam; many neices and nephews and her special friends, Barbara Sitten, Lois Sullivan and Donna Moses.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with Pastor William Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
