Karen Cecile Jordan, 62, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017.
She was born Dec. 28, 1954, in Chattanooga to the late Cecil Eugene Jordan and Dorothy Lee Chandler Jordan.
She was a member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church.
Karen had a great love for her family and was especially interested in the career of her niece, Jennifer. She had a very special bond with her dog, Katie, who she rescued from certain death and nurtured her back to health. She was a crafter and enjoyed sharing her projects with family and friends.
Survivors include her sister, Deborah (Gary) Hartman; niece, Jennifer Hartman; special cousin who was more like a little sister, Nena (Scott) Harris and their children, Shawnee (Adam) Strickland, Alexandria Dowda, and Angelique Dowda; her beloved dog Katie; aunts, Shirley (George) Varnell, Vernada Frederick, Suzette Butler, and Daisy Gamble; and many other cousins and relatives.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Forest Hills Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Braaten officiating.
