Chattanooga Firefighters Respond To 2nd Fire In Lookout Valley On Sunday

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a second fire in Lookout Valley on Sunday. 

This fire was at 3214 Beech Street at 6:30 p.m.

Quint 14 was the first arriving company and reported heavy fire and smoke showing. There were a total of seven companies that responded to this fire, with some of them from the previous fire. There was one person home at the time of the fire and the resident had to jump from a second floor window. 

Fire department personnel treated the resident until Hamilton County EMS arrived on the scene and took over patient care and transported him to a local hospital. 

The seven fire companies were Quint 14, Engine 5, Quint 2, Squad 1, Quint 1, Quint 3, Squad 13, Battalion Chief 3, Battalion Chief 2, and the acting PIO.  Hamilton County EMS and Chattanooga Police Department also responded.  

The cause of the fire in under investigation and the extent of the injuries to the resident are unknown at this time.
