William F. Dunn, Jr., 71, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at a local hospital.
He was born Nov. 25, 1945, to William F. and Miriam McCloskey Dunn in Darby, Pa. He was of the Baptist faith. A retired truck driver, William loved to go camping, fishing, sailing and was known to sound like Elvis when he sang. William faithfully served our country in the Army and Coast Guard.
William was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Claudia Pritchard Dunn; daughter, April Michelle Dunn; grandchild Devon Branham; siblings, Dorothy Harris, Jean Marie McGuire, and Kevin McGuire.
He is survived by his children, Timothy Ray Dunn, Kellie Ann Forgey, and Karen Denise Branham; grandchildren, Brandon Forgey and Haven Branham; Siblings Linda Cross (Ed), Susie Evans (Spencer), Janice Casteel (Danny), Deborah Besheers (Chuck), Cheryl Maldonado (Charley), William “Mickey” McGuire (Terri), Bernard “Bernie” McGuire (Jill), and Patrick McGuire (Sharon); former spouse and mother of Tim, Joann Dunn; and best friend Jackie Stanfield.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 22, with Reverend Steve Smartt officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-3 p.m.
