Essie C. Hinton Brown, 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on September 18, 2017, in Chattanooga.
Essie Hinton Brown is survived by her sons James Hinton (Lois), and Dr. Johnny DeWayne Brown (LaTeisha), four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Sept. 21, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at Orchard Knob MBC with Pastor Carlos Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
