Chickstock Is Saturday At Greenway Farms

Fundraiser For North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy

North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy will host its annual fundraiser, Chickstock, at Greenway Farms on Saturday.

The free family friendly festival features food trucks, music, entertainment, beer, non profits and vendors at Greenway Farms in Hixson at 5051 Gann Store Road. 

Music begins at noon and includes Tym Priest, Heatherly, Astrophe, The Afternooners, The Vaudevillains, and Masseuse.

The suggested donation is $5 for adults, kids are admitted free.  The event is family and dog friendly.

The Colonnade Players will present the musical production of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” Feb. 9-17. City Council Considering New 2-Year $600,000 Contract With Father To The Fatherless

The City Council is considering whether to approve a new two-year contract of up to $600,000 with Father to the Fatherless for the Violence Reduction Initiative. The Salvation Army is at capacity with its cold weather shelter at 60 and the Community Kitchen has 108 so far in the cold weather shelter, officials said Tuesday night.  Kimberly George said, "This is the most the two of us have had so far."
