A military veteran who was shot outside Bar Louie near Hamilton Place Mall is suing the shooter, CBL & Associates and ERMC security firm.
Robert Driver Jr. filed the complaint in Circuit Court.
He is asking $250,000 compensatory damages and $250,000 punitive damages in the complaint filed by attorney Lee Ortwein.
The suit says on March 26 that the plaintiff was a customer at Bar Louie. It says, after finishing his meal, he left with some friends toward his vehicle on the parking lot.
The complaint says Connally pulled up beside one of the persons in the group and said, "You boys want to get shot tonight?"
He was told to leave, then he drove back around and came to a stop by Robert Driver, it was stated. He said something inaudible. The suit says the plaintiff suffers from hearing loss due to his combat experience and he asked what he had said.
Connally then raised a gun toward him and shot him in the shoulder.
