Cleveland State Defeats Bryan 3 Sets To 2

Cleveland State defeated Bryan College on Wednesday with a final score of three sets to two. This puts CSCC at 8-3 on the season before they hit the road for their next three away games.

The Lady Cougars started off slow, dropping game one by a score of 18-25. Shortly after, CSCC came roaring back in game two winning that one with a score of 25-11. Their momentum carried on into game 3 winning that one 26-24. Now trying to close out the match, the Lady Cougars took one step backward, losing a tight game four, 25-23. With the match on the line, Cleveland State entered game five determined and focused, winning the final set, 15-8, setting the final score of 3 sets to 2.

Next up, the Lady Cougars will travel to Gallatin, Tn. on Saturday, where they will meet a team they've already beaten earlier in the season, Welch College. 



Covenant Ranked Regionally By The NCAA

For the first time in the program's NCAA Division III era, the Covenant volleyball team has achieved a region ranking from the NCAA. The Lady Scots are ranked No. 8 in this week's poll, the first one of the 2017 season. Covenant is off to a 15-7 start, including a 9-0 mark against the USA South. Baylor's Avery Davis Named Division II-AA Soccer MVP

Several area girls were named to the Division II-AA all region soccer team.  Baylor forward Avery Davis was named the region most valuable player.   Also for Baylor  Mya McGee, Lainee Bohannon, Peyton Randolph, and Abbie Vibbert were named to the all region team.
