Brenda Markert
Brenda C. Markert, 61, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her home.
She was the head cook at Lake Forest Middle School for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph C. Smith, Jr. and Edith Josie Lewter Holley.
Survivors include her husband, Michael L. Markert of Cleveland; children, Christina Brown and husband, Paul of Cleveland and Michael L. Markert, Jr. of Whitwell; three grandchildren, Patrick Myers, Gavin Markert and Alex Markert; great grandson, Paxton Myers; brother, Gary Smith of Winter Haven, FL; half sister, Tammy Musselwhite of Winter Haven, FL; half brother, Stephen Smith of Birmingham, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home.
