Elinor Cole Lamborn, 86, a resident of LaFayette since 1960, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the Bridge Assisted Living in Ooltewah.
She was a graduate of the Girls Preparatory School and the University of Chattanooga. Elinor was a member of the LaFayette Presbyterian Church, a longtime member of the LaFayette Woman’s Club where she served a term as president, and a member of the Brainerd Women’s Golf Association. She loved watching and feeding birds.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bob Lamborn of Ooltewah; son, Rob (Amy) Lamborn of Sewanee; granddaughter, Caroline Lamborn; brother, James B. (Peggy) Cole Jr., of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 12-1:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, in the fellowship hall of the LaFayette Presbyterian Church, with the service to follow at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary with Reverend Cathy Meyer and Reverend Ken Waddell officiating.
Interment will be in LaFayette City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LaFayette Presbyterian Church, 107 N. Main Street, LaFayette, Ga.
