Mary Phillips
Mary Wanda (Ewton) Phillips, 68, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, at her home.
Wanda was born in Dayton on Nov. 14, 1948, the daughter of the late James Dalton Ewton and Mary Jane (Dunn) Ewton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Phillips, her sister, Sue Tate and two infant brothers.
Wanda lived all her life in Dayton and was a graduate of Rhea Central High School. She was a lifelong member of the Mountainview United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann Clingan of Grandview and Kimberly Phillips of Dayton. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Brittany (Corey) Wilson and Megan McCampbell and five great-grandchildren Latrina Wilson, Devin Wilson, Aiden McCampbell, Rylan McCampbell and Jason McCampbell, her sister Louise Harris all of Dayton. Wanda also leaves behind her beloved faithful companion Tiny.
Funeral services for Wanda will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at noon in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jim Purser officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Dayton City Cemetery.
