Patricia Marsh in court
A woman charged with TennCare fraud in three counties pleaded guilty to two felony counts in Hamilton County on Tuesday.
Patricia Marsh, 31, appeared before Judge Barry Steelman.
She was also charged in Bradley County and Knox County.
Ms. Marsh earlier pleaded guilty in Bradley County, where she was charged with five counts of fraudulently using TennCare to obtain a controlled substance by doctor shopping.
All the charges are related to visiting multiple doctors in a short period of time to obtain prescription drugs, using TennCare as payment.
Prosecutor Jason Demastus said Ms. Marsh must repay the state $764.80 for drugs she obtained while visiting several doctors here, including at Memorial Hospital and Parkridge Hospital. That occurred in April, June and July 2014.
She is banned from obtaining any future TennCare benefits.
She was given a two-year suspended sentence.
At the time of her arrest, Ms. Marsh was living in Cleveland. She said she now lives in Walker County, Ga.
