F. Helen (Ross) Bish, 92, of Apison, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at her daughter’s residence. 

Mrs. Bish was born on June 20, 1925, in Ringgold, to the late Gus and Callie Lou Ross. 

She was a World War II Navy Wave veteran serving from 1943-1945.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Herman F. Bish.

Survivors include her two daughters, Fannie Helen Bish, Jr. Mikell (Tim) of Apison, and Rose Mary Bish Roach (Dennis) also of Apison; grandchildren, Dawn Hutson, Fred Cook, Eric Cook, Shonda Ellis, Shaleigh Cronan, and Troy Roach; great-grandchildren, Amber, Cassie, Cynthia, Deven, Emma, Jordan, Kinsley, Kristen, Nicholas, Rylan, Weston, and Zachary; also several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 28, from 4-7 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel. 

Graveside services will be on held Friday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Lloyd Harville officiating. 

Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
