NAACP March For Justice Set For Sunday

The local NAACP is sponsoring a March for Justice in downtown Chattanooga on Sunday.

Mercy junction is one of the NAACP Coalition Partners in the Peace Walk and Candlelight Vigil.

The event will be from 5-7 p.m.

Dr. Elenora Woods, NAACP president, said, "Please join us as we march against the injustices and inequities  of education, housing, economic disparity, racial bigotry,hatred and white supremacy in the city of Chattanooga.
 
"DACA is huge problem for our Latino Sisters and Brothers.  Bring signs to to support your cause."
 
The lineup will be at Miller Plaza at the corner of MLK and Market.

The march will go to the County Courthouse lawn. The group is seeking the removal of the bust of Confederate General A.P. Stewart.
