  • Friday, September 29, 2017

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. to join hundreds of thousands nationwide for the largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands.

Volunteers in Chattanooga will help with some fall upkeep at Greenway Farm. They will be picking up litter, removing invasive plants along the trails, and mulching.

Organizers said, "This is a great opportunity to contribute to the community, support the local environment, meet fellow nature-lovers, and get some fresh air and exercise. National Public Lands Day celebrates something we all share: our public lands."

Greenway Farm is at 3008 Hamill Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37343.
