Joan Brewer
Joan Katrina Brewer "Joanie", 61, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on September 27, 2017.
She was born on Oct. 4, 1955. She was a long time nurse and resident of Cleveland. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandbabies. To love and care always came natural to her. She showed us, by example, what it means to be selfless. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Gay, "Pawpaw", and her brother, Jerry Gay.
She is survived by her mother, Vivian Townsend, husband of 44 years, Joe Brewer, children, Justin Brewer (Peyton), Kristie Brewer (Edward), Josh Brewer; sisters, Patti "Dister" Brand (Jeff), Elaine Talbot (Bobby), Tammy Cashen; brother, Richard Gay; grandchildren, Sierra and Gunner Stewart, Kylee Holland, Landon Brewer; several nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 2, from 5-8 p.m. with a service to follow at Companion Funeral home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
