Wilson Ledford
Wilson "Buddy" A. Ledford, Jr., 77, of Chattanooga died on Friday, September 29, 2017.
A native of Cleveland, Tn., and a resident of Chattanooga, he attended Baylor School, Bradley High School, University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and was a former Army National Guard reservist.
He was an engineer with Heatec for over 30 years, an avid golfer, and a funny joke teller. He was a member of First-Centenary United Methodist Church. He was an extraordinary loving father and husband.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson A. and Hazel Ledford, Pauline McQueen (Bradley) Randolph, and wife Patricia Margaret Johnson Ledford.
He is survived by wife, Joan Ashley Ledford and her family; son, Jess (Tara) Ashley; grandchildren, Colton and Luke, all of Fayetteville, Ga.; daughter, Loretta (Willie) Wells; grandchildren, Amber and Jared, all of Atlanta. Buddy is also survived by his son, Wilson (Trey) A. Ledford, III of Durham, NC; daughter, Margaret M. Ledford (David L Radunsky) of Miami; and sisters, Willene (Bill) Pardue, of Chattanooga, and Marti (John M.) Powell of Cleveland, Tn.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 5:30 p.m. in the Kate Lyle West Chapel at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, 419 McCallie Ave.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
