Allen "Clyde" Stroupes, 74, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017, with his wife and daughter by his side.
Clyde was born on Aug. 2, 1943, in Man, W.Virginia. He retired from Colonial Bread and Catoosa County BOE. He was a diesel mechanic by trade but his passions were fast cars and racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Worley and Margie Stroupes. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy Stroupes, three sons, Allen, Jerry (Pam), Steve (Carrie), and daughter, Debbie Davis (DeWayne), nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church, Ooltewah, with visitation to follow. Brother John Montgomery will officiate.
