Chattanooga temperatures will remain below freezing for much of the week as frigid arctic air blew in with the new year.
It was 7 degrees on Lookout Mountain when Roy Exum stepped out to walk his dog at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday - down from 12 degrees the morning before.
Nearing noon, the temperature read 22 degrees in Chattanooga, but felt like 12 degrees.
The five-day forecast only reaches a high of 40 degrees on Wednesday, with partly to mostly sunny skies this week.
