Ballard, Edna Earl Cox

Edna Earl Cox Ballard, 81, of Rossville, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of Rossville, and was a member of Fort Oglethorpe Church of Christ. She retired in 1983 from the Cavalier Corporation and Ridgedale Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Lee Ballard; parents, Duncan and Susie Odom Cox; and six siblings.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Carla (Rodney) Smith and Amy Stanley; sisters, Martha Lamb, Ruth Harris and Barbara Turner; brothers, Lewis Cox and Larry Cox; grandchildren, Josh Ballard, Branton Phillips, Fallon (Denny) Gant, Adam Gravitt and Rodney Smith, Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, and prior to the service on Saturday.
