Howell, Roy Rome (Summerville)

Roy Rome Howell, age 78, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in a Fort Oglethorpe hospital. 

A native of Decatur, Al., he was born on Oct. 9, 1939, to the late Hershel B. (Harvey) Howell and Erma Mae Turley Howell. 

Mr. Howell was a retired tree surgeon. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Louise Craig Howell, on May 8, 2000, and sons, Michael Howell and Lavon Howell. 

Surviving are sons, David Lyons and Terry Lyone; and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.
