Blackmon, Larry Stanford (Summerville)

Larry Stanford Blackmon, age 64, of Hammond Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his home.  

He was born in Cartersville, Ga. on June 9, 1953. He was a son of the late Jimmy and Lois Mulkey Blackmon. 

Mr. Blackmon was retired from Harriett-Henderson Mills and attended the Community Holiness Church.   

He was preceded in death by brothers, the late Jerry and Jimmy Blackmon. 

Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Edgeworth Blackmon; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Allison Blackmon; sisters, Doris Lee, Kathy Hardman, and Lillie Knight; brother, Ronnie Blackmon; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Rev. Steven Collins officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 12-1 p.m. 

Earle Rainwater Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
