Linda Christine Thompson, 68, a lifelong resident of Georgetown, passed away, surrounded by her family at her home on January 17, 2018.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Cecil Howard, brothers John, Ronnie, Ira, Junior, and sisters Tip, Edna, Lizie, Rose, and Willie.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James (Harold) Thompson, daughters, Tina (Larry) Phillips, Rhonda (James) Carden, and son, Brian (Tracy) Thompson, grandchildren, Cortland, Chelsi (Kyle), Kayla (Tyler), Dylan, Kyle, Christian, Ali and Ana, and one great-granddaughter, Gracie; brothers, Donnie (Kim), Pete (Emma), Jesse Ray (Brenda), Edward, Rosco (Christine) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Companion Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, and from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home with Pastor Tommy Marr and Pastor Jackie Carden officiating. Interment will follow the service on Sunday at Cofer Cemetery with Kyle Carden, Christian Thompson, Dylan Thompson, Brian Thompson, Cortland Grissom, and Tyler Fugate will serve as pallbearers.
