Mary Ann “Bitsy” Hampton, 83, of Chattanooga passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in a local hospital.

Born in Georgetown, Tn., Bitsy was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Tennessee American Water Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Anna Ruth Burdette Cofer

Survivors include her husband, Carter Hampton; brother, Robert Max Cofer; two sisters, Tommie Cofer Boltz and Jerry (Pat) Cofer Carter; step-son, Gray (Tina) Hampton; son, Ricky Teaguetwo grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with Pastor Bill Mason officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends from 12–2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
