American Royalty And The Government Shutdown

Sunday, January 21, 2018

Sad but true, our Congressman and senators have become American Royalty that are so arrogant they can continue to receive their pay while our government is shut down.  Those protecting these arrogant politicians work without pay and risk their lives so the American Royalty can continue to live their lavish life styles.

The American Royalty is too good to accept the insurance programs they propose for the common people as their insurance is complete and paid for by the hard-working American taxpayer.

I, for one, am sick and tired of most of these better-than-thou politicians and have absolutely no respect for the majority of them.  They all talk with care and concern for the common people when running for office while most cluster with each other after they are elected in Washington talking with forked tongues, doing what they want, when they want against the wishes of their constituents. Most of these politicians do nothing to unite our country while some play racism to divide us, line their pockets with special interest money and favor kickbacks.

As a young man 40 years ago, my father and law told me ”Show me a politician and I’ll show you a blankety blankety crook.” At the time I thought he was completely wrong, but after all these years he was right on.  Indeed few statesmen exist. They are for the most dinosaurs of the past.

The time has come for Americans to put true statesmen/women back in office.  Vote all the American Royalty out in all the upcoming elections including the local politicians as well unless you can find a true statesman in office. Good luck on that one.

God Bless America. Let's vote for those in the future who truly care for the common people, will work to unite us, not divide and represent our wishes in Washington.

Equity Study

What exactly is an Equity Study? Is the the damage control that comes in the wake of the UnifiEd outburst a few weeks ago? I can save the board a whole lot of hassle since the mere mention of doing such a study means that the study will reveal inequities, regardless of any basis.  If they would like to throw a quarter million down the drain for 20 pages ... Coppinger And UnifiEd

I am writing in response to Mayor Jim Coppinger's puzzling quotes in Roy Exum's column this morning, wherein the mayor seems to disavow UnifiEd and its position on the socio-economic desegregation of our schools. On  April 5 , I attended a candidate forum hosted by the North Brainerd Neighborhood Council at the Eastdale Recreation Center gym. That evening, Mayor ... (click for more)

Silverdale Wins D-II-A State Softball Title

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Kaili Phillips got disqualified in the first inning of Thursday’s game against the Tipton-Rosemark Lady Rebels and nobody gave the Silverdale Lady Seahawks a snowball’s chance of winning that game. But they did. Nobody gave the Lady Seahawks much of a chance of repeating that feat less than 24 hours later in the winner-take-all final game, but once again, ... (click for more)
