Mary Agness Weiss, 94, of Soddy Daisy passed away January 19, 2018.  She attended Soddy Daisy High School, lettered in basketball, and was a member of the softball and gymnastics teams.  She was a graduate of Draughon Business College.

During World War II she was employed at Y-12 Oak Ridge and in civil service, on Guam, after the war.  Ms. Weiss was an Order of the Eastern Star member and a volunteer with the Red Cross at Hixson Memorial Hospital.  Aggie and her husband Oliver owned and operated wall and floor covering businesses in Chattanooga and Tazewell, TN.  Aggie was an avid traveler and traveled extensively.  She was an accomplished decorator and gardener.  Boating with the family was a favorite past-time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Franklin, three sisters, one brother, and her husband, Oliver E. Weiss.

Survivors include her son, Ray Vandergriff, daughter in law, Kathy Keller, and her extended family.

A private service will be held by the family.
