Soddy Daisy Woman Who Declined Treatment At Wreck Scene Died The Next Day

A 46-year-old Soddy Daisy woman, who was involved in a three-vehicle wreck last Thursday but declined treatment from EMS on the scene, died the next day, Chattanooga Police said.
 
Laura Lea Berrier died from complications due to the accident.
 
Police said on Thursday at 6:32 p.m., officers responded to a traffic crash at 5500 Hwy 153.
 
A 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Ms. Berrier rear-ended a 2011 Chevy Impala and a 2004 Ford F150 truck.
 
Police said Ms. Berrier was not wearing a seat belt and was listed at fault in the collision.
 
The Traffic Division has begun to follow up on the crash investigation and will submit its findings at a later date.
 
Ms. Berrier was a 1989 graduate of Hixson High School and a graduate of MTSU with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. 
 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. A burial will be held privately.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father, Calvin Lee Berrier III.

She is survived by her mother, Jeanne Berrier; brothers, Phillip and Michael Berrier; sisters, Janet Robinson and Suzanne Vogler; several nieces and a nephew and friend, Ginger Terrell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Partnership for Families, Children and Adults, 1800 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, Tn. 37404 or River Animal Hospital, 2132 Amnicola Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37406.

Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
