Gary Green II, fifth generation Tennesseean and lifelong Republican, has announced he will be seeking the open State Executive Committee seat for the 10th Senate District.
Mr. Green is the former chairman of the Hamilton County Young Republicans and currently serves as political director for the Tennessee Young Republicans.
“I believe it’s time to bridge the gap of generations in the Republican Party,” he said.
“By learning from those who came before us, we can introduce policy to insure the Republican Party continues to grow on the State and County levels. I learned from my time as Chairman of the YR’s just how important it is that we stay connected and involved.”
Mr. Green is seeking the office currently held by Oscar Brock and said, “I would like the thank Mr. Brock for his leadership on the State Executive Committee and I look forward to working with him on the national level.”
Mr. Brock was recently elected by his peers to serve on the National Republican Committee.
Tennessee’s 10th Senate District represents Lookout Valley, Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga, Red Bank, East Ridge, East Brainerd, Apison, Cleveland, and surrounding Bradley County.
