A 29-year-old Chattanooga man has been charged with rape in an incident involving two women in Brainerd.

Marcus Lebron Woodard is charged with aggravated rape, aggravated assault and domestic assault.

In an incident late Saturday morning on Tocoa Avenue, police arrived to find a half-dressed woman come out the front door and found a topless woman inside.

The resident said Woodard, her former boyfriend, had come over and become argumentative.

She said meanwhile another female arrived at the residence.

A man who said he has worked with Woodard for three months was also at the house. He said Woodard had a pistol behind his back while arguing with him. The man said he then retreated inside.

The resident said she and the visiting female became frightened over the way Woodard was acting and the fact he had a gun. She said they retreated into the bathroom and locked the door. The visiting woman lay down in the bathtub.

The resident said she then decided to go out and try to calm Woodard down, though the visiting woman pleaded with her not to.

The resident said when she opened the bathroom door that Woodard punched her in the face, saying he was mad that she had locked the door on him.

She said he then ordered her to take her clothes off. She said she took her top off and was removing other clothing when the visiting woman came in the bedroom. The resident said she then ran back into the bedroom.

She was the woman running out the front door when police arrived.

The visiting woman said Woodard turned his attention on her and, while armed with a gun, ordered her to take off her clothes. She said he changed his mind and directed her to perform a sex act on him. She said that was interrupted by the arrival of police.

Woodard would not speak with officers and even refused to give his name.

He is being held on bonds totaling $125,000.

Tocoa Avenue is off Old Mission Road.
