Edward “Teddy” Davis, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his residence.

He was a graduate of Howard High School, class of 1966 where he was a basketball standout.  He was a member of Thankful Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Davis, Sr.; mother, Eunice Davis Hurt; son, Edward Kali Davis; brother, Marvin Davis and sister, Carrie Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Jackson Davis; daughter, Nytascha Butts; son, Calvin Butts; 6 grand and great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Davis; uncle, Willie Arnold; aunt, Elsie Brooks; nephews, Edwin (Lori) Hammond and Desmond (Acquanetta) Smith; niece, Dewuanna (Jack) Crutcher and numerous other relatives and friends.

He will lie in state on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 12-8:30 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.

The funeral will be on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at Thankful Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Grace Lucile Burt Moore, 95, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Lucy was born in Athens, Ga., on March 22, 1922, to the late Obie Clifford and Clyde Melton Burt.
