Robert Backer has been named principal broker of Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty, Inc. He replaces Peggy Pryor, who is the founder of the firm and is retiring from the position of principal broker. In this new role, Mr. Backer is responsible for recruiting, hiring and training new and experienced real estate agents. He will also retain his listing duties as a full-time realtor.
Mr. Backer is native to the Chattanooga area and has been with Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty since he began his career in real estate in 1997. He has been the top agent in the office for the past 19 years and has consistently been a top performer both nationally and in the Chattanooga area. In 2017, he was named one of America’s most productive sales associates as a part of REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Agents, the annual ranking report produced by REAL Trends and sponsored by Zillow Group.

Mr. Backer is an accredited buyer’s representative, a certified relocation specialist, a certified new home specialist and holds his e-PRO certification. He serves on the board of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors and is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors.
