SmileDirectClub is opening a Chattanooga SmileShop location at 7053 Lee Hwy. on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

The SmileDirectClub service connects customers who are looking for a straighter smile with an affiliated licensed dentist or orthodontist in their state through teledentistry.

To begin the process, customers have the option to either go to a local SmileShop for a 3D digital scan, or can opt for the at-home impression kit which is sent to their door. SmileDirectClub allows consumers to achieve a straighter smile without the hassle of a monthly in-person doctor’s visit, and instead connects them with their assigned licensed dentist or orthodontist through a teledentistry platform, said officials.

The service averages 60 percent less than the price of similar treatment options, and the average plan takes six months. The SmileDirectClub service can be purchased in full at the start of treatment with a one-time payment of $1,850, or through SmilePay, which allows the customer to pay $80 a month, for 24 months, after a $250 down payment.
