Arthur Perkins
Arthur Jullian “Jull” Perkins, Jr., 65, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, in a Georgia hospital.
He was employed with the Hamilton Department of Education School System for 22 years. He also retired from the Army Reserves.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Beatrice Perkins, Sr.; son, Van Smith; and granddaughter, Van’isha Perkins.
Survivors include his son, Arthur Perkins III of Chattanooga; daughter, Arnitra Perkins of Dalton, Ga.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Antonio Perkins, Sr. of Knoxville; sisters, Alveria (Leon) Gaddis of Los Angeles, CA and Pamela Perkins of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; girlfriend, Betty Blocker; best friend, Jonna Smith; special friend, Sandra Brown and many others.
Visitation is on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel with Brother Jimmie Ingram as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
