Wanda Faye Thompson, 86, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018, at a local health care facility.
Wanda loved to meet people, loved animals, and was actively involved at Waterville Baptist Church, where she attended. She was dearly loved and deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thompson; parents, Paul A. and Mary M. Wilson; siblings, Nadia (Fred) Kimsey, Willard (Nannie); sister-in-law, Gwendola Wilson; brother-in-law, Julian Evans.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Sandra Beardsley and Brenda Gaylor; grandson, Brandon Breland; siblings, Eunice Evans, Ralph Wilson, and Bill (Jackie) Wilson; along with several special nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel.
The celebration of life service will be held at 1pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Coby Goins will officiate.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Waterville Baptist Church in her honor.
