Betty Jo Powell
Betty Jo Powell, 76, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, October 12, 2018 at her home.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1942, in Stevenson, Al., to the late Ernest Workman and Velma Wimberly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Powell, and grandson, Jonathan Richie. She was well loved by her family.
Survivors include her children, Carl (Mary) McKinney, Nancy (Dave) Shake, and Carol Tumlin; sisters, Nancy (Rick) Brock, and Donna (Ed) Smith; brother, James (Teresa) Workman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pa.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Chaplain Ted Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19.
