Betty McGinnis
Betty McGinnis, 85, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur T. and Velma Davis Ford. Ms. McGinnis was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Denny Hill Baptist Church she was involved with “Birchwood Senior Neighbors”.
Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny Malone and Ray McGinnis; son, Wallace Malone and daughter, Ann Hardin; brothers, Marvin, Almos and Brian Ford, and a sister, Shirley Rutenburr.
She is survived by her sons, Sammy (Norma) Malone and Johnny Malone; daughter, Jan Lynn; brothers, Rounder and George Ford, sisters, Barbara Malone and Shelby Fuller, nine grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at noon in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon. Ms. McGinnis will be laid to rest in Bald Hill Cemetery next to her husband, Johnny Malone.
