The City of Chattanooga, Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Chattanooga Public Library will host "An Evening of Pixar Shorts - A Books with Berke Event" at Miller Park on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 6-7:30 p.m.
The film festival will include popular Pixar Shorts, such as La Luna, Partly Cloudy, Your Friend the Rat, Dug’s Special Mission and more.
This event is hosted in conjunction with the third and final book in Mayor Andy Berke’s “Books With Berke” Summer of Creators book club.
The final book is “Creativity, Inc.: Overcoming the Unseen Forces That Stand in the Way of True Inspiration” by Ed Catmull, who is a co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios.
“'Creativity, Inc.' is a manual for anyone who strives for originality and the first-ever, all-access trip into the nerve center of Pixar Animation—into the meetings, postmortems, and 'Braintrust' sessions where some of the most successful films in history are made," officials said. "It is, at heart, a book about creativity—but it is also, as Pixar co-founder and president Ed Catmull writes, 'an expression of the ideas that I believe make the best in us possible.'”
